Yo, mama! I’m so glad you’re here.
I’m Whitney, a wife and boy mom living in the Indianapolis, Indiana area.
Most days you can find me: sans-makeup, sporting yoga pants, smooching my two pitbulls, and laughing at my jokester husband, while chasing my often pants-less toddler, named Roman.
I’m a big fan of screen tees, tattoos, clearance racks and eating dessert first.
Aside from being a mom and wife, my friends know me for:
- being obsessed with fitness and healthy living,
- being the crazy dog lady,
- and for loving Jesus!
I love sharing tips and discoveries from my new role as “mama,” a title I still wear in awe most days after battling infertility due to Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS).
I earned my BA in journalism because writing has always been my jam. But, when I landed my dream public relations job out of college and started climbing the company ladder, I realized that I had put my creative writing dreams aside.
Then, when I quit my job in 2017 to stay at home full time and care for my family, I couldn’t shake this notion that God was calling me back into writing again.
And, Yo, Mama was born! 🙂
If you’re struggling to find a semblance of balance in caring for yourself as a mom, or seeking to fill your cup with more than just the daily rush of caffeine and chaos, you’re in the right place.
It’s an honor to help you find motherhood well-lived, both physically and spiritually – one easy tip, inspiring story and must-have find at a time.
